DY366 is an organophosphorus chelating reagent for scandium recovery from dilute streams. It separates scandium from nickel, cobalt and iron in HPAL laterite circuits, where scandium reports to the iron-aluminium slag and waste liquors, and it also works on red mud, titanium dioxide waste acid and tungsten refinery slag.
- Sc from Ni, Co, Fe
- HPAL and red mud feeds
- ≥5.2 g/L at 15% v/v
- Fast phase separation
Key parameters
Values are confirmed on the technical data sheet issued with the quotation.
- Appearance
- Yellow viscous liquid
- Specific gravity (25 °C)
- 0.90–0.92
- Flash point (closed cup)
- >70 °C
- Saturation capacity (15% v/v)
- ≥5.2–5.5 g/L

- Stripping phase separation
- ≤100 s
Typical use
Scandium recovery from HPAL laterite liquors, red mud after acid leaching, titanium dioxide waste acid and tungsten refinery slag.
- 01The feed assay determines whether a concentration step is needed before extraction.
- 02Scrub conditions are set from the iron-to-scandium ratio in the loaded organic.
- 03Stripping gives a scandium concentrate that is refined to scandium oxide.
