QL256-2 extractant
Nickel-cobalt-manganese co-extraction extractant
CAS on request
QL256-2 loads nickel, cobalt and manganese together straight from impurity-rich pregnant leach solution while magnesium and lithium stay in the raffinate. The strip liquor is already a mixed NCM sulphate solution that can be adjusted to NCM 811, 622 or 523 ratios, and the reagent works at lower pH than a three-stage split, which cuts alkali consumption.
- Ni-Co-Mn co-extraction
- Direct NCM strip liquor
- Mg and Li stay in raffinate
- Lower alkali use
Key parameters
Values are confirmed on the technical data sheet issued with the quotation.
- Appearance
- Colourless to yellow liquid
- Density (25 °C)
- 0.91–0.914 g/cm³
- Viscosity (25 °C)
- 31.53 mPa·s
- Flash point (open cup)
- 135.7 °C
- Max saponification rate
- 60% at organic ratio ≤30%
Typical use
NCM precursor flowsheets, laterite nickel hydrometallurgy, waste lithium-ion battery recycling and nickel-cobalt-manganese recovery from wastewater.
- 01Co-extraction is run on a clarified PLS so that the three-metal ratio stays inside the specification band.
- 02Saponification above 60% at an organic ratio over 30% causes visible layering and is avoided in the flowsheet.
- 03Strip liquor is blended to the target NCM ratio before crystallisation or precursor precipitation.
Packing and storage
- 01200 kg plastic drum
- 021000 L IBC tank
Pack sizes are confirmed with the quotation. Mixed pallets and customer-specified packing are quoted on request.

- Store in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse.
- Keep away from direct sunlight, open flame and strong oxidisers.
- Keep containers sealed and do not store with alkaline products.
